SIRS 2019

SIRS2019-v4-01 (1)
The Schizophrenia International Society’s (SIRS) Board of Directors is thrilled to announce that moving forward the society will host annual meetings.  Partnering with the International Congress on Schizophrenia Research (ICOSR), SIRS is working to create a cohesive balance incorporating key individuals and elements from both the legacy of ICOSR and SIRS.  The annual meeting is a wonderful opportunity for the future of the schizophrenia research field to have one integrative meeting and society.

SIRS will continue to hold an international meeting in Florence during even years. However, SIRS is excited to bring together scientists from around the world in odd years to further its mission to exchange the latest advances in biological and psychosocial research in schizophrenia. We hope that moving to an annual meeting will continue to develop international collaboration to discover the causes of, and better treatments for, schizophrenia and related disorders.

The first annual meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Florida from 10-14 April 2019.  The Program Committee is being led by Paola Dazzan and Raquel Gur.

Registration and abstract submissions will open in mid-July 2018.  For more information, please refer to the Schizophrenia Conference Website under the 2019 tab.

Thank you and we hope to see you in Orlando in 2019!
